Thank you for blowing the lid off our 2021 Buddy Derby!  We raised more than any prior year, thanks to you!

2021 has been another remarkable year; sometimes wonderful, sometimes troubling, but always inspiring at the barn! In a world where we are surrounded by uncertainty, your support has enabled Horse and Buddy to return to our place as a refuge for the families we serve.  We are going to ring in the New Year on a high note with our annual Buddy Derby! It's your opportunity to donate to Horse and Buddy in honor of your favorite rider, volunteer, staff member, horse, or anyone else you want to recognize! Our goal this year is $50,000. We will race our ponies down the stretch to see who can raise the most money for the program.

Check out our race leaders here!

Type in the name of the person you wish to honor (or leave it blank) and click the Buddy Derby button to participate. You can also choose to become a Horse and Buddy Hero by clicking the "Become a Hero" button, then selecting the "Make this a monthly donation" checkbox. Our recurring monthly donations help fund the critical needs of our day to day operations. It takes a village and we're so happy you're part of the Horse and Buddy community. Thank you for your time, support and helping us make a positive difference in the lives of our riders and their families. You can see some of the amazing results we achieved last year because of your support  by clicking here.

I hope you will read the enclosed story from the parent of one of our riders, Amelia. Due to the vicious bullying she has endured in middle school, she asked that we not publish her name or photo. A few days later, she had a change of heart. According to her mom, “Amelia has decided it is important to stand up to bullies and she wants to share her story and her message.” Her story is an amazing testament to the power of our program and her bravery is an inspiration to us all.
